love, and do what you like

‘Love, and do what you like’

~Saint Augustine

It is capturing and remembering moments like these I absolutely love. There is peace all around as the day begins to dawn. Birds begin to sing and tell the world to awaken. A breeze glides through the grass around me, as I watch the sunlight break over the mountains. The light ignites the grass as if it were on fire, then the fields dances like flames in the sunlight.

After taking this photo, I paused and captured the almost indescribable beauty before me and wrote the memory upon my heart, soul and mind.

Mt Mee

Mt Mee, Queensland

Summer break has finally started so I thought I would get back into photography.

I went for a drive into the mountains and national park. The hills always seem so green and luscious.

There is something about the cool mountain air that always leaves on refreshed.

Hope you are having a great week:)

I apologise for being so quiet. Over the last few weeks I have been travelling in Cambodia visiting an Australian friend who teaches in Cambodia. I hope to share many of the photographs I took during my journey.

If you didn’t already know…I absolutely love my country. It is indescribably beautiful.
This is a shot of the ‘outback’ of Australia, where the fields of grass are far and wide, blue skies sore gloriously above and the iconic sight of the gumtrees mark the landscape. It is truly Australian.

Hope you have a great day!

Compassion costs. It is easy enough to argue, criticise and condemn, but redemption is costly, and comfort draws from the deep. Brains can argue, but It takes heart to comfort. Samuel Chadwick

Autumn is Arriving

Autumn is arriving. I have loved summer although we have again had some horrific weather in Queensland. It would be lovely to have a quiet and simple Autumn. Days like the one on this photograph would be very welcome.

The Life of a Teacher

It is coming the the end if the academic year and that means school is almost over. But that also means late nights and early mornings for teachers, marking and assessing student work. Teaching is a challenging job that is for sure! At least I have this view to help me through the never ending pile of assessment pieces.
