the woods are lovely, dark, and deep

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Mt Mee

Mt Mee, Queensland

Summer break has finally started so I thought I would get back into photography.

I went for a drive into the mountains and national park. The hills always seem so green and luscious.

There is something about the cool mountain air that always leaves on refreshed.

Hope you are having a great week:)

After a few weeks of gloomy, wet weather the sun decided to come out. And it was glorious.

Location: North Pine Dam, Queensland

Vast Landscape: Queensland, Australia.

Outback Airstrip

Imagine the quickest way of your family to get help was by plane! The family who live on this property are over an hour an a half drive away from their closest neighbour and its faster to radio for a plane than to drive for help.
The photograph of the family’s own airstrip and surrounding property doesn’t quite show the expanse of this country. As far as you can see in this picture all of the land is the family’s own property. How truly amazing? When I visited this family, I came back to life near the city with a renewed respect for the farmers of Australia. It must be difficult to live in circumstances such as this but I’m sure living in such beautiful country makes it worthwhile.

Australia! Australia!

Lost in the Bush

Lost. Getting ‘lost’ in Australia is great fun (as long as you know where you are). I love exploring new places but I have a healthy respect for the bush. The last thing I want is to get really, really lost. Because I don’t want to have my own ‘Woman vs Wild’ experience.
Always take care when you are planning your photography adventures, plan for things that may go wrong, don’t go alone (Australia is a big place), or let someone know where you are going.
I always enjoy myself more when I am safe and I know that I am prepared for emergencies.

Happy Photographing!

If you didn’t already know…I absolutely love my country. It is indescribably beautiful.
This is a shot of the ‘outback’ of Australia, where the fields of grass are far and wide, blue skies sore gloriously above and the iconic sight of the gumtrees mark the landscape. It is truly Australian.

Hope you have a great day!

I went exploring today and found this beautiful spot just outside of Samford, north of Brisbane.
It was a beautiful day.
